How to: Spend The Perfect Weekend In Palm Beach

Are you in need of a holiday, weekend getaway or staycation? Sydney’s Palm Beach has plenty of hidden treasures to keep you adventurous, feed your cravings and provide you with a place to rest and recoup. Join us for the perfect weekend in Palm Beach.

Day 1

If you're one to rise with the sun, begin your weekend getaway with a scenic walk up Barrenjoey Lighthouse trail. Best during the earlier hours of the morning before the sun beats you to the top! The glistening water views overlooking Palm Beach and it's beautiful surroundings makes this 25-30 minute trek well worth it.

For those less enticed by the idea of an early morning hike, enjoy a sleep in before catching up with the others for a cup of Single O Signature ‘Killerbee’ blend over at The Bakery. Here you’ll find some freshly baked goods and other breakfast options to feed your cravings.

Whilst the bakery feast settles, move on through to The Boathouse Home located on the other side of The Bakery and browse the beautiful beachside styled store and its collections.

Soak up the Pittwater side of Palm Beach by hiring a paddleboard or kayak from Barrenojey Boating Services. Get lost in the gentle currents of the bayside whilst admiring the streamline Palm Beach boats passing by.

Before you know it, 2pm has arrived and it’s time to check in for your boutique styled stay at Barrenjoey House. What better place to unwind and immerse yourself in the ocean views of pittwater with a Margarita in hand.

Soon after settling into your guest room, head downstairs for a 3-course dinner at Barrenjoey House’s seafood inspired restaurant. Enjoy an evening of people watching whilst the sun sets behind the horizon. The Crab Toast and Mezcal Paloma cocktail are a must try!

Day 2

Enjoy a less strenuous start to your morning with a visit to the historical Bible Gardens. Nestled away in the Southern end of Palm Beach, this peaceful garden will have you mesmerised with its panoramic views of the entire crescent of Palm Beach.

Whilst you’re heading South, continue the course and head on over to the Whale Beach Deli for an all day brunch-styled menu. From here you can glance over the views of Whale Beach from the side window of The Deli.

Catch the ferry from Palm Beach wharf and travel across seas to Patonga for a day of coastal walks and a stroll of the small village. Starting at the Eastern end of Patonga Beach, walk 30-40 minutes toward the Warrah Lookout. The views that stretch along the Central Coast and across to Palm Beach are spectacular. View the Boathouse Ferry Co. timetable here.

Feeling a little peckish? Treat yourself to a post-walk lunch by the sea at The Boathouse Patonga Hotel. If you’re lost, head toward the chatter and clinking of glasses where guests gather beneath the trees to feast on a range of modern Australian inspired dishes and sip on Northern Beaches brewed Boathouse Beer.

Be sure to keep an eye on the time for your return Ferry across seas to Palm Beach. To finish off the day with a refreshing afternoon swim at the locals favourite, Sandy Beach.

We’re not done just yet… Take the holiday home with you with a takeaway cocktail from Barrenjoey House. Think of it as a souvenir to enjoy when you’re in need of a small touch of Palm Beach.

Until next time, Palm Beach!
